All J&K Shia Association intensifies Muharram 2025 preparations in Srinagar

Ongoing Local Meetings Reflect Deep-rooted Community Engagement and Devotion to Ahlul Bayt (AS)

AhlulBayt News Agency: Srinagar, 09 June 25: On the directions of the President of All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association (AJKSA), Molvi Imran Raza Ansari, the ongoing Mohalla-level Muharram 2025 meetings continue across District Srinagar. These meetings aim to streamline preparations for the upcoming sacred month of mourning, with a focus on preserving the sanctity and discipline of traditional Alam Sharief and Zuljanah Sharief processions.

The meetings are being led by AJKSA District Srinagar President, Haji Firdaus Mirza, and actively attended by Secretary Yaseen Mustafa along with the five-member Srinagar District team.

Today’s sessions included a significant meeting held at Kathimaidaan, hosted at the residence of the late Mehdi Sahab whose home has long remained a center of Muharram devotion. Another important meeting was held at Shal Bagh, Zadibal. Both these localities fall under the religious guardianship of AJKSA for their key Muharram processions.

The current series of meetings will continue through the week and culminate with a focused session for Sabeelgah owners, NGOs, and blood bank representatives on Friday at Imam Bargah Zadibal. This will be followed by a grand coordination meeting led by AJKSA President Molvi Imran Ansari and AJKSA General Secretary Abid Ansari at Imam Bargah Zadibal, laying the roadmap for Muharram 2025 in Srinagar.

The All J&K Shia Association remains committed to safeguarding the spiritual, cultural, and organisational sanctity of Muharram in Kashmir, under the banner of unity, peace, and love for Imam Hussain (AS).
